The grand essence of couture is portrayed through the modern elegance of Ashley David’s color-infused ink sketches and gangling femme figures. Born into the glamorous world of 1970’s Parisian sophistication, David immersed herself in couture culture while studying and traveling throughout the world’s most fashion-forward cities from New York to Milan. Her experience provided her with insight into color, trends, and textures that she used in illustrations for design houses and fashion magazines. She now lives in California where she works in her studio overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
