Every day I go to work in the Pop Ink Museum of Art for Commerce, a 4-level 1854 brick building in downtown Minneapolis. The museum contains tens of millions of paper and plastic pop culture artifacts and original art, created and compiled over the past 40 years. The building also houses CSA Design, CSA Images, and my wife Laurie DeMartino's design studio. It's inspiring to be surrounded by so much amazing stuff, along with some of the most brilliant designers and illustrators in the industry. About :
Charles S. Anderson is a visual innovator and founder of CSA Design, one of the world’s most influential design firms. But unlike other firms, in addition to their highly-recognized client work, CSA Design is unique in creating one of the most extensive and highly esteemed archives of licensable artwork in existence. Originating in the 1970's and painstakingly created over four decades, the CSA Images collection is a digital museum of art for commerce, a vast and ever-expanding resource of illustration inspired by the entire visual history of art, design, and pop culture. Based in Minneapolis, the work of CSA Design can also be found in prestigious museums around the world including the Museum of Modern Art, the Nouveau Salon des Centre Pompidou, the Smithsonian Institution's Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, London's Institute of Contemporary Arts, the Walker Art Center, the Library of Congress, Hamburg's Museum Für Kunst und Gewerbe, and the Bibliothèque nationale de France.
