I started working in fashion and photography as just a boy, learning to print at age 15 and studying fashion design, pattern cutting and tailoring in my late teens. I've always been fascinated with authenticity and raw, natural chemistry. As a photographer I work to capture passion, motivation, energy and spontaneity to create imagery that hopefully has a timeless quality. Nigel Barker has been a creative force for new ideas for the past 20 years. Internationally renown for his photography and his creative presence in fashion, beauty and entertainment, his career has been punctuated by an array of fascinating projects. His work includes commercials, books, exhibitions, international editorial assignments and his own show, The Shot on VH1. After 17 seasons judging the hit show, America’s Next Top Model, Barker now hosts the Oxygen Network’s "The Face" alongside Naomi Campbell, Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha. He also directs and produces films, documentaries and commercials for a range of Hollywood clients and charitable organizations. Most recently, Barker was awarded the “Film Heals” Award for Humanitarianism at the 6th Annual Manhattan Film Festival for “Dreams Are Not Forgotten.” He has spread his humanitarian message through creative work for organizations such as The Humane Society and The United Nations Foundation.
