Throughout history, artists have sung hope into our times of deepest desperation, broken the back of despots with the stroke of a brush, inspired generations with well-crafted words, and captured indescribable moments with the click of a shutter. Artists give voice to the silent, forge bonds between the disconnected, scribe histories otherwise unrecorded, and manifest our personal and collective dreams. For these reasons and for the sake of our future, my life's work is in support of artists.

Yosi Sergant is a community organizer who believes in the power of culture to shape and reshape our world. During the 2008 Presidential campaign, Sergant engaged thousands of artists in support of Barack Obama, including the ubiquitous “HOPE” campaign he managed with Shepard Fairey. Sergant served in the White House Office of Public Engagement before accepting an appointment to the National Endowment for the Arts as Director of Communications. Recently, Sergant and his partner Simon Isaacs launched TaskForce, a pro-social organizing outfit in Los Angeles, working with the creative community to find solutions to our world’s most pressing challenges.
