My husband and I are both Navy veterans. We were stationed in California south of San Francisco where he flew the P-3C airplane. Of course the plane pictured is a Seaplane, not a P-3C, but it is shown with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. The picture reminds me of an "Indiana Jones" movie where he was traveling in a plane similar to this one. I'm sure my husband would have enjoyed flying this plane very much had he had an opportunity to do so. The picture also has a 1930s/1940s look to it with the vibrant colors and style which really appeals to me. I'm very pleased with the purchase and I have displayed it in our guest room that I have decorated with a nautical theme which reflects our naval service.
My father asked for a poster of a painting or large photo of a Boeing 314 Clipper Seaplane from the late 1930s for Christmas, no kidding. Art.com actually had both. The colors on the Web site were very true to the actual poster. After a slight trimming, it fit perfectly in a nice 24x36 frame and looks great on the wall.
purchased for remodel of guest bedroom, pulled the Art Deco theme together, wall painted light grey and orange. black accents including the frame. Would definately order more art work from this site, excellent quality for the price.
The print is fabulous. The frame is a bit thicker than I expected, but it's fine.
