Michael J. Austin is best known for his portrayals of the human form, considering the body and personality to be an elusive, challenging and vital means of artistic expression. Originally from London, Austin spent 10 years illustrating comics for many well-known magazines, newspapers and comic books. Later, he focused solely on fine art, successfully exhibiting his work at numerous group and solo gallery shows. A favorite artist of Prince Charles of England, Austin was commissioned to paint many of the rare breeds at his estate.
