About the Artwork  
Awash in color and light, Sung Kim’s storybook landscapes, seascapes, gardens and villages emanate a tranquil, welcoming charm. From Seoul, South Korea, Kim graduated from art college with honors, before opening his own studio where he illustrated magazines and children’s books. He drew inspiration from travels throughout Europe before immigrating to the United States in 1980. Kim has received numerous awards for his work, including one from Seoul’s mayor. Kim has worked with various fine art galleries for 20 years, and created over 400 landscape paintings.
