      I placed this product right at the top of a stairwell. It is very impactful there: large and bright. I always love Van Gogh, of well, one of the best techniques he employed was his thick brushstrokes, and you do not see that on a flat poster. It is beautiful nonetheless!

        I liked the nice bright bold colors used in this painting. Since the colors are so bold, I went with a frame that matched the table that the vase was sitting on-brownish-red with gold in it. This picture gives a punch of color to a plain beige wall, and the frame matches the stain on my front door! Looks like they were made for each other!

Although Van Gogh’s life was full of severe depression, he was able to access powerful feelings of love of nature and a passion for beauty that he eloquently communicated through his art. Impoverished and unacknowledged during his lifetime, Van Gogh, whose body of work is unrivaled in scope and originality, is one of the most influential artists of the last century,

          Vincent Van Gogh (1853 – 1890) was a Dutch post-Impressionist Master whose innovative artwork powerfully influenced modern Expressionism, Fauvism, and early abstraction. Astoundingly prolific, Van Gogh produced all of his work during a 10-year period, at one point, creating 150 paintings and drawings within one year. Painting outdoors, Van Gogh uniquely captured the nighttime nuances of light and shadow, and was also renowned for his paintings of sunflowers and irises. Tormented by mental illness for most of his life, Van Gogh created many of his masterpieces while he was institutionalized. Although Van Gogh only sold one painting during his lifetime, he is now regarded as one of the most profoundly influential artists of the 19th century.
