Conjuring the romantic mystique and allure of vintage Hollywood’s legendary movie star icons is artist Paul Gasenheimer’s forte. Working in pencil, pastel, red chalk, crayon, and oil, his exquisitely rendered works of meticulous detail evoke the feel of a photograph. Born in Vienna, Austria in 1952, he earned a degree in technical engineering, and eventually made the leap from technical drawing to painting exclusively. He founded the Vienna Portrait Studio and has given workshops to share his expertise. His works have appeared in exhibitions in throughout Austria, as well as Frankfurt, New York, Paris and London.
