- The Artist
The joy of progress is conveyed with an exuberant sense of infinite possibility in the motion, bright colors and expansive, Art Deco lines of “Chicago World’s Fair, 1933,” by Glenn Sheffer. The Century of Progress International Exposition, Focusing on technological innovation, was held in Chicago, Illinois from 1933 – 1934 to celebrate the city’s centennial. The 1933 fair featured a monorail, the German airship Graf Zeppelin, a Homes of Tomorrow exhibition, and the premier major-league all-star baseball game, held at Comiskey Park.
