With a minimalist technique, William Hook fluently communicates nature’s spirituality, drama and grandeur through his exquisite use of color and light. Originally a partner in a prominent Denver advertising firm, Hook painted in his spare time, eventually leaving his job after 10 years to follow his artistic muse. Working primarily in acrylics, Hook is known for his intimate, yet powerful still lifes and landscapes of Southern Colorado and Northern New Mexico. The winner of numerous awards, Hook has been featured in magazines including “Southwest Profile” and “Art of the West.”
