Artist Celeste Peters grew up in the Georgia countryside; its remoteness encouraged her resourcefulness and her artist’s inclination was born. After graduating from the University of Georgia with a degree in fine art photography and art history, she realized her true passion was painting and drawing. Two years of traveling and painting in Europe profoundly affected her style and she returned to the U.S. to establish her art career. Given to experimentation, she enjoys playing with styles, colors and subject matter, while applying her photographer’s eye to her paintings.
