This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.

I looked long and hard to find the right piece of art to help give our dining room a subtle Indian theme and was delighted to finally find it.
For me, this piece looks best mounted on hardboard, thus without a frame, it also happens to be the cheap option too!
The background colour at the top of the painting
is a dusky white rather than silver as I first thought from the website picture; it suits the painting nicely and I think the ethnic colours blend well with either silver or brass fittings in a room.
I am very pleased with the quality of the product, although a couple of things to be aware of are:
1. There is something that looks like a drop of water has dripped on the painting, initially I was disappointed as I thought it was a fault. However,I looked at the website picture again to find that it is actually on the original painting. Don't be put off, it's small and just part of the character of the painting (and i'm very fussy!).
2. The long, thin nail provided to hang the picture was not up to the job; it bent and pulled plaster off the wall! A large head screw prooved a better method of attachment; the slot fixing on the back of the hardboard rests on it and the picture hangs virtually flat to the wall.
My husband is Hindu, while I appreciate and participate in his faith, a lot of the Hindu god/deities images are hard for me to relate too. They are bright and over the top often using contrasting colors ect. Our homes interiors are very important to us and I often struggled finding Hindu artwork/decorations that resinate with our current esthetics. This picutre is not only artistic but serves the purpose of honoring the beloved Lord Krishna in a enduring pose. I paired it with a warm dark wood frame and it looks goregeous. The colors are vibrant with out being over the top. We could not be happier. I was a bit concerned when I received the peice as it was on paper that was similar to cardstock, once framed it looks wonderful. I do think you definatley need to frame this piece, otherwise I would be concerned that it would get dirty due to the lack of gloss. Be aware- I decided to do my own framing at a much lower cost however this peice is not a typical size for store bought frames. You may have to be creative. I purchased a framed with white backing board and allowed some of the white in the picture to show.
