The Madonna in Sorrow (oil on canvas), Sassoferrato, Il (Giovanni Battista Salvi) (1609-85) / Galleria degli Uffizi, Florence, Italy / The Bridgeman Art Library
This stretched canvas print is the result of sophisticated digital printing technology in which the image is printed directly onto an artist-grade, 100% cotton canvas. The canvas is then expertly stretched around 1.5" wooden bars and carefully finished with hand-painted edges. An acrylic coating protects the stunning giclee print from dust, moisture and fading. Watermark will not appear on finished product.

I saw this print on canvas in a restaurant a few years ago, and I loved it. I did some research found the artist, and ordered the same print on canvas from Art.com. It's beautiful (for all of the reasons above). Art.com was unable to frame it (they explained they didn't have the license to do this), but I took the print to a frame shop and had it framed. It looks good, but I really like working with Art.com for the frames--I've had success in the past framing prints from Art.com on Art.com. I have this print hanging in our livingroom, front and center of the room, and it really adds a lot to the room. A religious/inspirational piece that is also elegant and classic.
