Girl with a Pearl Earring, circa 1665-6 Giclee Print by Jan Vermeer at Art.com
This giclée print delivers a vivid image with maximum color accuracy and exceptional resolution. The standard for museums and galleries around the world, giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface. With the great degree of detail and smooth transitions of color gradients, giclée prints appear much more realistic than other reproduction prints. The high-quality paper (235 gsm) is acid free with a smooth surface.

Jan Vermeer’s “Girl with a Pearl Earring,” painted with masterly command of color, extraordinary realism and glittering, pearly highlights, is an enigmatic masterpiece which holds similar mysteries as the man who painted her. Very little is known about Vermeer (1632 – 1675), a Dutch artist specializing in lyrical, domestic interior scenes so expressively painted that they transcended the mundane. Although he only produced 35 paintings in his lifetime, Vermeer is considered to be one of the greatest painters of the Dutch Golden Age.

Beautifully framed - the black and brown frame match the colors in the painting and the white matte offset is a perfect border. I am very pleased with this framed print.

I requested non-glare, UV protection glass.[...] We are very happy with the print and the frame. The non-glare glass is well worth the extra cost. The Parma Champagne frame is darker than it appears on the website, which is fine for our purposes.

Was very pleased to find the huge selection on your website - after a Vermeer exhibition passed through town, my Mom has been lamenting the fact she didn't buy a print at the Gallery when she had the chance, and now can't find this print anywhere. Your print is going to make an excellent gift!

Every time I look at this painting it takes my breath away. I first saw it on the over of the book by the same name as the picture and bekam fascinated by it, checked on your website if it was available and when I saw that it was I bought it. I love the frame I chose too. The painting looks fantastic on my wall and just about everybody makes a comment about it. Art is my passion. Thank you for doing such a good job. Lorraine Alexander.
