"I really wanted a unique viewing angle, so I talked my driver into taking me to the back side of the Taj Mahal. The bridge was just barely standing, and everything about the dilapidated structure was sketchy. When shooting a reflection, it's sometimes best to get as close to water level as possible. So, reluctantly, I took my camera off my tripod and buried it in the mud, about half an inch above the water. I spent all night in the bathroom saying I was sorry to the camera... cleaning her up back into her old self once again."
This stretched canvas print is the result of sophisticated digital printing technology in which the image is printed directly onto an artist-grade, 100% cotton canvas. The canvas is then expertly stretched around 1.5" wooden bars and carefully finished with hand-painted edges. An acrylic coating protects the stunning giclée print from dust, moisture and fading.

I have been looking for a picture of the Taj Mahal for our house for some time... one that was unique and not the typical postcard shots. I saw this and really liked it. I read what the photographer had to say and I really appreciated his comments as well; plus he is from Austin a city that I have much respect for. I had it framed and matted as well and the picture looks beautiful in our front entry way. I was ideally planning to place on top of fireplace, but because this is a photographic print, the detail can't be seen from far, so the front entryway is perfect as you can see at eye level and really appreciate the fine details of such a beautiful wonder up close.
