The soothing beauty of nature is ideal subject matter for Impressionist painter and former art therapist and teacher, Kim Coulter. Raised in the Texas hill country, Coulter seems to absorb the scenic beauty and transport it onto canvas with stroke of a brush. In the early 90s, she devoted herself to a career as an oil painter. When returning to the Southwest after living in California, she furthered her interest in Impressionism, encompassing both the early California period to contemporary masters. Now her work hangs in many private and corporate collections including hospitals and the Mayo Clinic. Coulter’s art has been featured in many prestigious art magazines and exhibitions.
