Like a genie released from a bottle, hypnotic tendrils of absinthe transfix a beautiful girl in “Absinthe Robette” by Privat Livemont. The late 19th-century absinthe boom coincided with the widespread adoption of the large lithographic poster as a potent advertising and artistic medium. Livemont’s masterpiece, this 1896 image immediately became known for its exceptional design and exquisitely subtle, translucent shades of green. It is one of today’s most widely reproduced Art Nouveau images, and the original is the most sought-after of all absinthe posters.

The framing including the provided hooks is wonderful, no complaints and very professional. The print it self is not as crisp as expected, I have seen other copies of this print that appear of higher quality. There is almost a blur to it which is made more evident by ink style of the original design.
