Originally appearing in the February 15, 1934, Vogue, Cecil Beaton's delicate illustration features a woman in a blue Elsa Schiaparelli dress with puffed sleeves and an aproned skirt, reflected in a grand mirror, and her companion in a red Worth gown with soft ruffles. They are flanked by a statue and an armchair on one side and a settee on the other. The oriental floral motif of the carpet and armchair upholstery and delicately curl of the molding on the mantel are suggestive of Art Nouveau.

This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
