André Kertész captured the charmingly shabby chic of Paris-born painter, illustrator, and muralist Bernard Lamotte's Connecticut home for the August 15, 1960, Vogue. A year later Lamotte created a mural for the swimming pool room at the White House, now preserved at the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum in Boston.
