Nothing says op art better than a harlequin designed chicken. Photographed by Ernst Beadle, the chicken is glazed in a chaudfroid sauce and patterned with diamond-shaped cutouts of eggplant skin. The adjoining flowers are crafted from raw turnips. As the article noted, it's clear that 'presentation matters and garnishes make a meal.' From the August 1967 House & Garden.
