Ivan 'Ching' Johnson was a member of the first New York Rangers hockey team that took to the ice in November 1926. He played with the team for 11 seasons, winning two Stanley Cup championships during the 1927-28 and the 1932-33 seasons. Johnson was a fan favorite throughout his career and a dominant player who intimidated opponents. Here, he appears just as the Rangers were entering the Stanley Cup playoffs for the 1933 season.
