The dance company formed by dancer and choreographer Albertina Rasch—known as the Albertina Rasch Girls—adapted classical ballet for Broadway and film. The dancers were included in the 'Ziegfeld Follies of 1931' and in the film 'The Shooting Gallery.' Here, Margaret Jacobson, Claire Deerfield, Jeanette Bradley, and Clayton Estes hold a pose from one of their dances. Photograph by Edward Steichen, circa June 1931, from the Condé Nast Archive.
