Actor James Cagney is best remembered for his tough-guy roles, starting with 'Public Enemy' in 1931 and including 'Angels With Dirty Faces' and 'White Heat.' But Cagney returned to his vaudeville roots in the musical 'Yankee Doodle Dandy.' Here, he appears on the Warner Brothers lot in Burbank, California, on the set of 'Here Comes the Navy.' Photograph by George Hoyningen-Huené in the August 1934 Vanity Fair.
Photo licensed from the Condé Nast Collection, home of The New Yorker, Vogue, Vanity Fair and other popular brands. Find this and other artwork at the Condé Nast Collection.
This photographic print is digitally printed on archival photographic paper resulting in vivid, pure color and exceptional detail that is suitable for museum or gallery display.
