A former dance instructor at MGM, the sultry Ann Dvorak scored three big film roles in 1932: with Spencer Tracy in Sky Devils, as Paul Muni's sister in Scarface, and as one of a trio of old friends in Three on a Match, with Bette Davis and Joan Blondell. William Bolin photographed Dvorak, leaning back nonchalantly with her arms behind her head, for the November 1934 Vanity Fair.
