The long and lithe Félia Doubrovska joined Diaghilev's Ballets Russes in 1920 and performed in Nijinska's Les Noces and Balanchine's Apollon Musagète. She taught at the School of American Ballet until the age of 84, becoming one of the most widely known and respected of Russian ballet instructors.
