British tennis champion Fred Perry appeared in Anton Bruehl's image from the November 1934 Vanity Fair. Perry was the top-ranked tennis player five times during the 1930s, winning the U.S. Open and Wimbledon each three times, and the Australian and French Opens once each. Perry's involvement in tennis didn't end with his playing career—he went on to found a popular tennis clothing line and to serve as a sports correspondent for a London newspaper.
