Considered one of the greatest female athletes of all time, Didrikson was an All-American Basketball player and won two gold medals for track and field in the 1932 Olympics in Los Angeles, before turning to golf. She led the LPGA for four years after its inception and was named Woman Athlete of the year 6 times by the Associated Press.
