Carl Erickson's cover of the October 1, 1948, Vogue featured a swan-necked beauty dressed simply in a burgundy sweater and swathed in a slate gray scarf and matching hat. The thick black delineating stroke, first done by Erickson, is an illustration technique that soon became popular. The artist often signed his name as 'Eric,' as seen here.
This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions. The high-quality paper (235 gsm) is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface.
