For the first time in fashion, skirts were daringly cut above the knee, as seen in this stunning array of evening gowns. From left: a black scallop-edged frock with a rhinestone-studded smoking jacket; a satin dress with jeweled buckle and jabot by Chanel; a flirty chiffon and lamé concoction by Lenief; and a feminine crystal embroidered satin version by Jenny. This late-1920s gala scene, illustrated by Pierre Mourgue, appeared in the December 1, 1927, Vogue.

This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
