This color image, which appeared on the December 1935 cover of Mademoiselle, shows a doll in formal attire surrounded by a Christmas tree and several festive gift-wrapped packages. Its black gown features a voluminous black skirt attached to a plunging feathered bodice; this is accessorized with a black choker; black elbow-length gloves; and a black, red, and green feathered hat. The dark colors and jester popping from a box give the scene a slightly sinister feeling. Illustration by Helen Jameson Hall.

This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
