American fashion designer Geoffrey Beene had his first cover with the September 1, 1963, issue of Vogue magazine. On the cover, photographed by Bert Stern, the celebrity fashion model Jean Shrimpton wears Beene's black and white sequined top, cinched at the waist with a black satin bow, with a silk gabardine skirt, long gloves, and cluster bead earrings.

The stretched canvas print is the result of sophisticated digital printing technology in which the image is printed directly onto an artist-grade, 100% cotton canvas. The canvas is then expertly stretched around 1.5" wooden bars and carefully finished with hand-painted edges. An acrylic coating protects the stunning giclée print from dust, moisture and fading.
