      This is a beautiful print, although the colors are more muted in person.

      My custom frame job was lovely, but I didn't take into account how BIG the piece would become with matting and a substantial frame. My wall space is extremely limited and I'll have to find another room to take this print. Cautionary tale ... just because Art.com *will* take an item back doesn't mean it's cost effective to do so.

      I'll shop from this company again; my item arrived quickly and well wrapped. And I really can't say enough about the custom frame. It's lovely.

        Don't get me wrong, I love the piece. It is definitely sturdy, and the print is great. The mounting, though, looks a little cheaper than what I anticipated. That said, I did get the piece using an online deal, and would do it again. I am just not sure that it was worth the full price of [$]. If it had been under $100, my review would be stellar.

        Vincent Van Gogh’s exquisite “Almond Blossom,” which he painted for his newborn nephew as a symbol of budding life, embraced one of his favorite subjects: flowering branches against a blue sky. Epitomizing the tormented artist, Van Gogh (1853 – 1890) was a post-Impressionist Master whose fragile psyche was uplifted by the healing effects of painting outdoors. Extraordinarily prolific, Van Gogh produced all of his works during a 10-year period—at one point, creating an astonishing 150 paintings and drawings within one year. Although Van Gogh only sold one painting within his lifetime, he profoundly influenced modern Expressionism, Fauvism and Early Abstraction.

Astoundingly prolific, Van Gogh produced all of his work during a 10-year period, at one point, creating 150 paintings and drawings within one year. Painting outdoors, Van Gogh uniquely captured the nighttime nuances of light and shadow, and was also renowned for his paintings of sunflowers and irises. Tormented by mental illness for most of his life, Van Gogh created many of his masterpieces while he was institutionalized. Although Van Gogh only sold one painting during his lifetime, he is now regarded as one of the most profoundly influential artists of the 19th century.
