About the Artwork

Jon Davison’s photography has taken him below sea level and into the stratosphere. A professional photographer for 30 years, Davison formerly shot travel photos before specializing in aviation imagery. He founded Eye in the Sky Productions, a team of professional photographers who take air-to-air images of helicopters, military planes and other flying machines. Working around aircraft for many years, Davison is adept at quickly shooting from planes flying in unusual positions. He has illustrated more than 80 books and over 1,000 magazines. Davison has also published 18 books on travel, aviation, skydiving, photography and submarines.
