About the Artwork  
Emily Burrowes is an imaginative artist who can express a flower’s captivating beauty or a dog’s poignant soulfulness with minimal lines and a few blocks of color. Born in England, Burrowes is a trained printmaker who originally produced silk-screened works, which forged her minimalist style. Solely painting with acrylics on canvas, Burrowes now enjoys the simplicity of breaking down an image to its most basic elements. Since 2006, Burrowes has focused on expressive portraits of dogs. The depiction of her own Labrador, Willow, has been her top seller.
