Elvira Amrhein’s ethereal “In Truth There is Love” conveys bittersweet beauty and aching vulnerability through the eyes of a young angel. Amrhein uses deft brushstrokes and luminous highlights to create her provocatively mystical works. Born in Germany and now living in France, she previously pursued painting in her leisure time, but began painting full-time in 2002. Amrhein is known for paintings that are both deeply spiritual and unexpectedly melancholy, and has won numerous French awards for her work.
With a reputation for producing paintings of great intrigue, Elvira Amrhein creates artwork that is mystical, ethereal and transportive. From an artistic family, Amrhein was born in Germany, and now lives in France. Amrhein initially confined painting to her leisure time, later devoting herself to full-time painting in 2002. With expert touches of light and texture, Amrhein’s works are both deeply spiritual and unexpectedly melancholy, and have won numerous awards in France.
