About the Artwork  
A lone figure makes her way through golden fields in Swiss painter Robert Zünd's "The Harvest." The poetic scene unfolds among bright, billowy clouds and magnificent trees highlighting the artist's incredible sensitivity to nature and technical expertise. Also known for his religious subjects, Zünd (1827 – 1909) trained under Jakob Schwegler and Joseph Zelger, and later worked in Geneva with Françoise Diday and Alexandre Calame.
