    This piece is the perfect size and shows great detail in the brushstrokes. Only thing I wished is for a little more definition in the colors. For such a dark piece, color clarity is paramount. The preview on the site made it seem more tonal than the delivered piece.

        I have this print hanging in my living room. Overall, I am very happy with it. The only complaint I have is that the glass is reflective and there is a glare if the living room is brightly lit. I bought the cheapest glass... next time I would spend a little more to get better glass.

            “Starry Night Over the Rhone,” exemplifies the artistic genius of Dutch Grand Master Vincent Van Gogh (1853 – 1890) through its dramatic expression capturing the nighttime nuances of color and shadow. The night sky and the effects of light at night were subjects of many of Van Gogh’s most famous paintings. He also relished painting outdoors, and the uplifting effect nature had upon his fragile psyche. Van Gogh was an astoundingly prolific artist who produced his formidable body of work in a mere 10 years, at one point creating 150 paintings and drawings within a single year. Selling only one painting in his lifetime, Van Gogh later profoundly influenced modern Expressionism, Fauvism and early Abstraction.

            Vincent Van Gogh (1853 – 1890) was a Dutch post-Impressionist Master whose innovative artwork powerfully influenced modern Expressionism, Fauvism, and early abstraction. Astoundingly prolific, Van Gogh produced all of his work during a 10-year period, at one point, creating 150 paintings and drawings within one year. Painting outdoors, Van Gogh uniquely captured the nighttime nuances of light and shadow, and was also renowned for his paintings of sunflowers and irises. Tormented by mental illness for most of his life, Van Gogh created many of his masterpieces while he was institutionalized. Although Van Gogh only sold one painting during his lifetime, he is now regarded as one of the most profoundly influential artists of the 19th century.
