            I have a black & white theme in my living room, this specific Steve McQueen photo is prominently featured. I never viewed this image before browsing on art.com and was impressed with the selection of famous people captured in everyday moments. We all know the commercial images of stars; the movie trailers and magazine covers that initially evoked wonder and amazement. Overexposure blends these images, mutes the thrill, and you forget. The grainy, rugged appearance of black & whites add authenticity - this could be an image in a family photo album of a long dead relative you knew in name only but retain a fondness for and a longing to know.
