This image from the archives of LIFE magazine first appeared on March 30, 1942.
This stretched canvas print is the result of sophisticated digital printing technology in which the image is printed directly onto an artist-grade, 100% cotton canvas. The canvas is then expertly stretched around 1.5" wooden bars and carefully finished with hand-painted edges. An acrylic coating protects the stunning giclée print from dust, moisture and fading.

I actually saw this piece about a year ago and thought at the time that it would be perfect for a nurse`s office. With my new job shift, I am now that nurse! With my love of dolls and children, it was perfect for my new office.
