About the Artwork  
The proof is in the pudding. "Keep Calm and Carry On", an artifact of stoic British optimism, is also the perfect emblem for rough times. Originally produced in 1939 by the WWII era propaganda engine, the British Ministry of Information, "Keep Calm and Carry On" was the third of a three poster series (following "Your Courage, Your Cheerfulness, Your Resolution Will Bring Us Victory" and "Freedom is in Peril"). Although barely distributed during the course of the war, the poster was rediscovered some 60 years later and quickly became a popular meme and (half) sarcastic reassurance during the Great Recession. Put your tongue firmly in cheek – it’ll all be ok.
