A U.S. corpsman tries to keeps a wounded Marine alive by giving chest compressions after the lead platoon of Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 26th Marines, was attacked as they maneuvered about 1,500 meters south of the demilitarized zone between North and South Vietnam, Sept. 17, 1966. The wounded man later died. A fellow Marine lies dead in the background.
