U.S. Marine Pfc. Jerry D. Goff of St. Louis, Mo., studies the barrel of his M-14 rifle, split by a Viet Cong bullet that hit the barrel head-on during a firefight near My Son, April 24, 1965. Fragments of bullet and barrel struck Goff's face, but he was not seriously injured. It was hit by a Viet Cong round as he fired at enemy snipers near Danang.
Digitally Printed on Archival Photographic Paper resulting in vivid, pure color and exceptional detail that is suitable for museum or gallery display.
