Zelda made a series of Biblical paintings for her grandson, Tim, as part of a portfolio she inscribed with his name. In the last decade of her life Zelda became intensely religious and her faith brought her some peace. This gouache depicts a householder (Matthew 21, 33-46) who planted a vineyard, built a stone tower and hired husbandmen to work in it. The wicked husbandmen, hoping to keep more than their due, killed the householder's son when he came to collect his crop. Original: 17" x 22" This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
