Zelda painted this gouache of the Smoky Mountains when she was a patient at Highland Hospital in Asheville, SC. She probably painted it in the early 1940s. Zelda liked the region and thrived on its natural beauty. Here she found equilibrium. Her Asheville landscape paintings, unlike earlier works, are a response to external realities and may have been painted on site. This is one of the rare paintings that Zelda signed. Original: 9" x 11 1/2"
This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.

- Vibrant Colors
- Smaller Than Expected
- Wanted Art Work By Zelda
Surprised that it fit in my mailbox.
I wanted a print from Zelda as she was an under-rated artist in mant fields: writing visual art, and dance.
I love the vibrant colors. She painted this particular picture
while staying in Asheville.

Everything was perfect--framing, delivery, price. I fell in love with Zelda Fitzgerald's paintings and art work after reading Lee Smith's novel Guests on Earth and doing research on Zelda's art. I really wanted something I could afford Zelda did about the land in the Appalachians and you had the perfect piece.
