Why I Like Dark Women Louis. “Satchmo” Armstrong and his fourth wife Lucille are one of the most devoted couples in show business. Lucille has traveled from Tokyo to Copenhagen with her trumpet playing husband who, at 54, is still one of the world's greatest jazz musicians. Armstrong is a salty, down-to-earth product of the famed rough Storyville section of New Orleans and he has always been willing to speak his mind in a pungent provocative manner. He does just that in "Why I Like Dark Women" in the August 1954 EBONY.
This stretched canvas print is the result of sophisticated digital printing technology in which the image is printed directly onto an artist-grade, 100% cotton canvas. The canvas is then expertly stretched around 1.5" wooden bars and carefully finished with hand-painted edges. An acrylic coating protects the stunning giclée print from dust, moisture and fading.
