About the Art

Inspired by nature and primitive art, Carol Grigg uses her paintings to impart enlightenment about the Southwest and its Native America heritage. Part Cherokee, Grigg creates eloquent, ethereal watercolor washes and uncluttered images of Native Americans, horses and other animals surrounded by expansive white spaces evocative of ancient cave art and the work of early Eastern cultures. Self-taught, Grigg strives to express love, healing power and spiritual unity in images that convey a profound kinship between the earth, humans and animals. Compelled to teach through her art, Grigg often repeats the same images in order to communicate her message to more people.
