This is a very restful print and with our open floor plan it can be seen from several rooms. The colors are beautiful. There is slight problem with the corners of the frame not being totally together. They do not appear seamless.

      Comments:

I bought this print because I love the feeling it evokes, serene, walking into the sand and calming waters, I have it displayed in my therapy office. My one wish is that the colors were more vivid. It is a large piece over the sofa. Very nice size.
Though I would not recommend this print to a friend I would recommend the Art Piece itself.

            ABOUT

            • The Print
            • The Artist
Founder and leader of the Impressionist Movement, Claude Monet (1840 – 1925) was an artistic genius whose works challenged tradition by incorporating broken colors and interplays of light based on his own observations and knowledge of optics. Representing natural color by breaking it down into its individual components, like a prism, he completely eliminated black and gray from his palette. Charmed by the drama of the French coastline, Monet’s exquisitely lit “Chemin dans les Bles a Pourville,” lacks human figures, representing the seamless relationship between the painter and nature.

Claude Monet (1840 – 1926), the founder of Impressionism, was one of the most influential landscape painters in the history of art. Born in Paris, Monet was enrolled in the studio of Glenyre, where he met Renoir, Sisley, and Bazille, who became the core of the Impressionist group. Painting outdoors, he broke the tradition of portraying a subject literally by conveying the fleeting effects of atmosphere, time of day, and season upon color and light. Eliminating black and gray from his palette, he represented natural color like a prism, breaking it down into its individual components, often painting a series of the exact same view under different light and weather conditions. Monet brought the study of the transient effects of natural light to its most refined expression, ultimately becoming a forerunner of 20th century modernism.
