Published in February 1914 with the article "The Nation's Undeveloped Resources," the Map of Alaska contains an abundance of details showing the growing human settlement of the region. U.S. public schools for natives, post offices, telegraph stations, mail routes, and mission stations are just some of the many features shown on this map.
This art print displays sharp, vivid images with a high degree of color accuracy on paper similar to that of a postcard or greeting card. A member of the versatile family of art prints, this high-quality reproduction represents the best of both worlds: quality and affordability.

I bought a map of Alaska from art.com. It came very quickly, I think within about 4-5 days. It was in a triangular cardboard box and the map was itself was rolled up with a large protective piece of paper (think a piece of salami placed flat on a tortilla then both rolled into one tube) which I thought was an excellent idea to protect the map and keep it from getting nicked or creased :-). The map was also very fine laminate-type paper with excellent detail and colors. It was actually a little bigger then I was expecting but I'm not complaining. All in all, one of the most satisfactory purchases I've made in recent months :-D.
