Published in October, 1948 by Macfadden Publications. Cover: Kodachrome by Charles Kellaway of Christenson Studios. Fur hat by Julius Zim. Kodachrome was a type of color reversal film introduced by Eastman Kodak in 1935, discontinued in 2009. It was one of the first successful color materials and was used for both cinematography and still photography producing a brilliant color photograph. It had a great color palette. It wasn't too garish. Kodachrome had more poetry in it, a softness, an elegance.
This art print displays sharp, vivid images with a high degree of color accuracy on paper similar to that of a postcard or greeting card. A member of the versatile family of art prints, this high-quality reproduction represents the best of both worlds: quality and affordability.
